The expanded Trail offers a "choose your own adventure" series of dives: visitors can complete dives on all 20 vessels or complete focus areas that include all WWII era wrecks, all tugboats, or all vessels located in a specific region (Pensacola, Panama City, Destin). Visitors may also dive only the original 12 Trail wrecks. The Trail offers something for every diver at all skill levels and depths, from beginner to technical. While most of these vessels were sunk as artificial reefs, wreck divers, history aficionados, and marine life enthusiasts can all appreciate what the Trail has to offer. Many of the vessels are positioned upright. The inherently eerie persona of a ship propped upright and laying quiet on the seafloor is something every diver should experience at least once.
